1. Log into your mailbox through web browser (OWA) at https://outlook.office.com/.
2. From the main OWA click on the portrait (if you have not uploaded a photo this will be your initials) at the top right.
3. Click on Open another mailbox (see screenshot above).
4. In the resulting box type in the name of the shared mailbox you want to open (if you have the mailbox in your Outlook client you should have access to the mailbox). As you type the mailbox should appear as a suggestion, click on that to select.
5. A new OWA window will appear that is identical to the original. Your portrait will still be at top right, but the mailbox is the shared one.
6. Click on the “cog” near your portrait, then click View all Outlook Settings at the bottom of the resulting dropdown.
7. From the resulting window click Automatic replies.
8. Turn on this feature by clicking the toggle labeled “Automatic replies on.”
9. Enter the message in the text box (see screenshot)
10. (Optional) Set a time frame for when you want these messages to be sent and/or click the checkbox labeled “Send replies outside your organization” (4 & 5 in screenshot).
11. Click Save.
