Clearing Space on PC by Cleaning Up One Drive
Note: This will clear some downloaded One Drive files off your computer but they will still be in One Drive.
Option 1: Individually Clearing Folders/Files From Local PC
- Right Click on the folder you wish to locally remove.
- Choose Free up Space.
Option 2: Removing all One Drive Folders From Local PC
- Click OneDrive in the system tray at the bottom right hand side of your screen. You may need to click the "caret" (up arrow) near the clock to see it.
- Click the "cog" and then settings.
- Click "Sync and backup" from the left hand list.
- Click advanced settings at the bottom of the screen and scroll until you see a button labeled "Free up disk space."
- Click "Free up disk space."
- You will be warned that it will reset all sync'd files ton online only. Please press continue.
- The computer will take time to delete the local files. You can continue working while this is happening. Wait to work on One Drive files until the process is complete.
