I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the dock. From time to time we have found that the docks lose USB connection due to driver/OS updates that may be needed to complete with reboots. Troubleshooting steps to try when you have some time for a couple of reboots. You can work while updates are occurring, but you may get some strange behaviors from the machine during the process:

1) unplug or power down the dock completely.
2) Go to Windows update->Advanced Options->Optional Updates->Driver updates
3) Install all available updates. You will need to monitor for the point where the machine asks you to reboot.
4) Reboot when prompted, then go back into Windows update->Advanced Options->Optional Updates->Driver updates
5) See if any additional updates are available and install those.
6) Reboot again. 
7) Power on the anker dock, and then plug it into the laptop. 

I apologize that this is a lot to get the dock back online, but the complexity of the hardware means that there are more than 20 drivers involved in maintaining all of the different types of connections, and updates to the operating system are often not tolerated well by the underlying drivers.
